There is a program that provides funding for veterans’ bathroom remodels in Washington. It operates through the Veterans Administration (VA) and does excellent work in assisting and supporting veterans with creating safe, accessible, and comfortable living spaces.

The Veterans Administration
Bath Planet is certified through the Veterans Administration in Washington. We perform several shower renovations each month to ensure they remain safe in their living space. It’s funded through the administration based on the veteran’s disability level.
While not exclusive, a bathroom remodeling company must be approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs. A process that the bathroom remodeling company must willingly seek out.
VA Approved
While the process of becoming VA-approved isn’t too difficult, many bathroom remodeling companies choose not to pursue it. Likely because when contracting for the Veterans Administration, it involves a lot of extra paperwork to be approved.
Some companies won’t want to go through the process. And some other companies may not be operating above board.
Bath Planet has gone through the approval process. We were vetted to ensure we are licensed and insured contractors. Then, we were approved to take part in the program.

Most of the paperwork for the bathtub or shower remodel will be done by the veteran.
They must go through the VA and have the project approved and funded. We’re limited in the assistance we can provide during that phase. However, we do our best to help as much as possible.
Once approved, the shower installation process runs typically like any other. We’ll inspect the veteran’s bathtub or shower, plan a new design for the space, recommend products, and perform a fantastic installation.
