He had been in declining health but, his death was unexpected. Daniel was a gentle and kind hearted soul who loved his family. He was a devoted Gamecock fan. He was self -employed as a HVAC maintenance technician for his family’s business. He was a graduate of Maranatha Christian School. Daniel received his HVAC Certification from Florence-Darlington Tech. One of Daniel's greatest joys was to sit with family and friends to talk about the adventures of his family.
Surviving are his daughter, Carolina McKenzie of Florence; his parents, Wanda and Dean McKenzie of Florence. He also had a large extended family in Florence and Sumter who cherish fond memories of him.
